Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^
It'll be my first contest that I've held...EVER! So it's very exciting :3

There seems to be a growing number of people who are asexual and some people have stated, as I think I believe to be true also, that it's the next step in human evolution.

Your thoughts on this? Do you think it's unusual or even unlikely that someone would be asexual?

I only know of one person who may be asexual... Although personally, were I not married, I would be very close to it myself, if not entirely so. However, I'm looking at the "lack of sexual orientation" bit...my sister said that this might also be considered "pansexual". I find the concept very fascinating, and think I associate with it most closely.

pansexual means you can be attracted to anyone... straight, gay, bi, transgender, etc
asexual is generally none (or little) sexual attraction. Though someone who is asexual might still have a specific attraction to one sex only.

Then...I'm...both? Yeah. I have little sexual attraction, but when I do it's not geared towards a specific gender.
I apologize for my ignorance; I was, unfortunately raised by parents who firmly believe that straight is right and anything else is wrong... Therefore, I'm learning new sexual terms even still.

I think that asexuality is something normal.
We live in society where you have to fulfil your basic needs. Spiritual involvement is decreased into something unproductive. Study - Work - Breed - Die -> This is how our lives are supposed to look like (?) .
Sex is not a ritual. It's everywhere (We are bombarded) in it's the most cheapest (and pathetic IMO) form.

Personally - I think I can say " I am asexual" and I have a few points to prove it

I think it's a very good topic to discuss

me too, but i imagine a lot don't think so. It's odd really because everyone has different tastes, such as in art, music, clothes, food, etc, but when it comes to sex, we are all expected to like it, and need it!

I find it curious what you said "Spiritual involvement is decreased into something unproductive." What makes you think so? I am a spiritual person, but it's not always easy to make it productive, so i think i understand where you are coming from.

Well ... "Spiritual Involvement" doesn't have one single definition. It's unique for each person . We all have to find that meaning. Unfortenty - many people are acting like slaves. They should spend their time properly. They spend more than 40 years in work + family + other limitations . No time to "waste" - Damned life. No time to improve myself
